About Ag Chem Resources

Roger Griess, CEO and Managing Partner of Ag Chem Resources, LLC, based in Bakersfield, CA, leads a company specializing in the development and registration of innovative biochemicals derived from natural extracts of endemic plants from South America. These chemicals offer effective control of nematodes, without the use of chemical additives, making them suitable for organic agricultural production. The company’s first chemical, designed to combat nematodes, has been registered with the EPA and several state authorities. Ag Chem Resources is seeking a partner to further develop, distribute, and market their products in the United States.

Their portfolio aligns well with Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and Insecticide Resistance Management (IRM) programs, and they aim for their products to be applicable in both organic and conventional farming, delivering comparable or superior performance to conventional alternatives. The company’s mission is to provide the farming industry with safe and reliable products for the future.

Field trials of their products are underway internationally on a variety of crops including grapes, citrus, almonds, carrots, mangos, bananas, avocados, asparagus, tomatoes, peppers, and potatoes.

Biotan

Biotan is a natural Organic extract obtained from tara (Caesalpinea spinosa), a tree endemic to Peru that has active substances with nematicidal power. Through an environmentally friendly process, without the use of chemical additives, it is possible to obtain a 100% natural soluble concentrate that can be used within organic agricultural production.

It is a contact nematicide that acts directly by modifying the walls of the nematode cuticle in different stages, causing a systemic imbalance in the body and death of the nematode. 

Application Method

Via irrigation or drench system.
